Like most of you I am getting ready for the upcoming season and working on fine tuning my equipment to try and gain a bit of a competitive edge. In doing so, I believe I have found a product from a small yet innovative company known as Kraford and Lypt, that may just help you as well.
Last October while I was at Extreme Benchrest 2019 I ran into Stephen Greenfield, one of the up and coming airgun accessory designers. After talking for a bit, he mentioned he had an accessory that would take my Daysate rifles and perhaps other rifles with current Minelli stocks to a whole new level. This meant that this one accessory would fit by Daystate Red Wolf, Wolverine R, Diana Skyhawk and even some rifles I haven’t had the chance to get my hands on like an FX Crown.
It is very easy to tell if this will fit your stock. Take a look at this picture. If the shoulder pad looks like the one here, then it is very likely this will work on your air rifle.
The Kraford and Lypt KLS-C is not only a very adjustable/modular design that helps the rifle to hug your shoulder to really help support the rifle and ensure the same shooting position time and time again. This one feature is extremely beneficial to all you benchrest and field target shooters and DOES NOT change the length of pull from the original shoulder pad found on these stocks.
Kraford and Lypt took the KLS-C and also added a spacer with a monopod feature which is great for getting your rifle and scope dialed in for specific distances as well as use in benchrest competitions. The design allows for the monopond to be set to either side of the stock. Large adjustments on the monopod can be made using the quick slide feature and locked in by a custom thumb screw. Although these large adjustments will get you close, the monopond also has a built in micro adjustment screw that gets you right where you need to be for any target while seated at a shooting bench.
The KLS-C is machined from solid 6061t6 aluminium and anodized in black to blend in with any rifle or polished silver to stand out.
You may have seen me completing the “King Me” challenge in an earlier video using my Daystate Wolverine R in .177 caliber and yes it was sporting a Kraford and Lypt KLS-C! I really feel that the ability to have the rifle snug into my shoulder and to help replicate the same head position each time helped tremendously.
