Today, we will dig into the NEW @serpentarmsairguns GX-CS4 compressor and you will absolutely want to stick around because just as the title says, I will also share how you can get one of these compressors for under $500 as of the making of this video. Many of you are probably asking, “Who the heck is Serpent Arms?” The brief answer is that they are an airgun manufacturer from Wisconsin and the company has developed their own shot shell cartridge for airguns that can be used in the Seneca Wing Shot, Umarex Hammer, AirForce Texan and the AEA Zeus among others. Not to be left out, Serpent Air has also begun manufacturing and selling their own 28 gauge air shotgun and if you want to find out more about it, just watch the video linked in the description and at the end of this video. Over the years I have tried and reviewed over a half-dozen compressors. When it comes to reliability and user experience the Serpent Arms GX-CS4 compressor stands out as a great option. Don’t get me wrong, this compressor isn’t going to beat a Daystate or Alkin compressor in terms of retaining value, speed, or durability; but the Serpent Arms GX-CS4 compressor is just about perfect for those of you who are new to pcp airguns or for those looking to add a source of air to their shop. The specs. on the compressor states that it weighs 28 lbs, needs 30 amps, runs on 12 volts of electricity but 120 volts or 240 volts can also be an option with the included power converter, oilless, water-cooled, outputs 11L/Min and is extremely portable. No longer are arrows blistering through the air at 600 fps rumors and speculation shared on crossbow forums. Today’s marketplace now has an arrow slinger that is capable of those speeds and holds accuracy to 100 yards! What is this mystical beast? The NEW @benjaminairguns Airbow M600! Combined with the more robust “M Series” arrows, we now have an Airbow that is significantly more powerful than any crossbow on the market today! That means that this is a significant hunting tool that is capable of easily taking any BIG Game animal in North America and elsewhere. The Airbow is powered by compressed air. There is an air cylinder on the underside that holds 3625 PSI or for those of you more familiar with metric units of measure 250 Bar. The cylinder can be filled using a hand pump, small portable compressor or from a bulk refill tank. Just like a typical airgun you are able to mount your favorite optic on the picatinny rail with the included base mount that has 20 MOA compensation built in. The 26”, 365 grain arrows are loaded by sliding the entire arrow over a free floating barrel. What is unique about this system vs lets say a traditional crossbow is that the arrow or bolt is not pushed from the rear. Rather the compressed air pulls the arrow from the front, preventing the arrow from flexing and giving the arrow a truer flight. Cocking the Airbow couldn’t be more simple. There is an over lever at the rear that you just lift up and lay back down. Once the safety is disengaged, you are able to freely pull the trigger and launch the arrow up to 600 fps with over 300 ft/lbs of energy! The Benjamin Bulldog M257 is a .257 powerhouse airgun that brings a new caliber option to the market. Why would anyone want a .257 slugger? It all comes down to ballistics as the .257 traditionally has great long range accuracy, great at bucking the wind, retains energy better than many other options, and is large enough for both small and medium sized game with slugs. All in all the M257 is a welcome option for the airgunning community. Let's take a closer look at the M257 Bulldog I have in front of me today. The M257 comes in at 36” at length and 7.7 lbs unscoped. Benjamin has added a Lothar Walther barrel that is shrouded (still plenty loud) with an M18 threaded end to add a moderator of your own choosing. Side-lever cocking handle that is swappable, as you can see I have already done since I am left handed. You will have plenty of air as it is advertised to get up to two magazines of shots (10 shots) per fill on a 340 cc air cylinder filled up to 3000 psi. Along with the picatinny scope rail that runs almost the entire length of the airgun as well as one situated for a bipod, you will also notice some built in sling studs.
